Brunswick Recycling Depot

Kartaway opened it’s Recycling Depot at Brunswick, Victoria in February, 1997, Melbourne’s first privately owned Recycling Depot made open to the public. With a strong focus on diverting waste from landfill the Depot recycles green waste, metal, cardboard, timber, batteries, electronic waste, dirt, brick, concrete and asphalt. Most people these days are conscious of recycling their rubbish rather than sending it to landfill and the Recycling Depot offers an opportunity to recycle waste easily and effectively.

Being located only 7kms from the city centre the Depot is very convenient for people to access, it is clean and, being undercover, it can be accessed in any weather. Open 7 days a week (excluding public holidays) it is very handy and the hours of operation are 7am to 3.45pm on Monday to Friday and 9am to 2.45 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The friendly staff are there to assist and make it easy for visitors to recycle their green waste, building materials, metal , cardboard, batteries and other waste efficiently.

A visit to the Depot is a pleasant surprise. The cleanliness, ease of access and friendly staff make recycling simple. Peter, who has worked for the Whelan family for more than 30 years, will greet you at the entrance and guide you to the varying drop off points. The ground staff, including Site Supervisor Michael ,are more than happy to assist you. Michael has 7 years of industry experience and can talk you through the recycling process. With affordable fees, easy access and friendly assistance getting rid of waste at the Depot is a breeze.
